With a background in performing classical, Irish, Scottish, Celtic, gypsy, bluegrass, country, folk, modern, klezmer, and even improvisation, I customize lessons to the style of music you want to learn. My energetic teaching style gets students excited about making music while learning the fundamentals of technique and theory which are imperative to becoming a great violinist. I believe that with a strong foundation of reading sheet music and ear training, students can take their learned skills into any genre of music with ease.

Each lesson incorporates some form of ear training, sight reading, technique coaching, muscle memory exercises, and defining your personal goals with your violin so I can create a customized curriculum to achieve your musical aspirations. My vast experience studying and performing different musical genres has influenced my teaching style to incorporate fun new repertoire, technique, and teaching methods into my lesson program. I recognize that music comes in many different forms and styles, and I love exploring both traditional and new ways to express oneself through music.

As a teacher, I hope to inspire my students to find the same joy from making music as I have for so many years.
